You are in good hands with the Instructors at Jannahdancer Dance Centre

Jennifer Smith (Jannah), creator of Jannahdancers and instigator for the Dance Centre, is a former competitive highland dancer trained by championship instructors, has studied jazz and ballet, which carried her to teach a dance wellness program.   She was trained at Princess Margaret Hospital attaining knowledge in the Lebed healing format for post-mastectomy and other post-operative care through movement in dance.  Having attained a fitter's status for prosthesis, she designed loungewear and currently sews the alterations of post-mastectomy needs for the Nu Me Boutique, Rosalind's and Vicanie's shops.  After initiation into Middle Eastern dance in the late 90's , Jennifer has taken instruction from high-calibre local and international master instructors.  Coupled with her studies with fitness experts and the Lebed method, Jennifer has taught bellydance and bellydance fusion with an eye to safe dance practices for a number of years, adding in her flare of elegance to this most sensual  and empowering art form.   Zumba is also added to her repertoire of classes, along with basic pole dance (that include snipits of bellydance in her choreographies).

She and her Jannahdancers  find great joy in entertaining the Seniors at their retirement homes, both locally and out of town.

Allan Johnson's decades of experience in the art of fencing have us in awe of how closely this 450-year-old brutal weaponry has become a finessed art form in modern-day competition.    Having studied with high-profile experts in his field, Allan promotes all three areas of this expertise in the épée, foil and sabre...and if you think ballet was the basis to every dance form, think again...some moves in ballet stemmed from fencing...

For more information on this competitive art and for registration, contact Allan at 1-519-887-6456 or leave a message on his pager:  519-581-1589

Lauren has been involved in the pole dancing world since November of 2009, and instantly fell in love with the acrobatics, femininity, and dance aspects that are all intertwined.   She has been studying under Elisabeth Magalhaes at Live Once studio in Milton, Ontario. Her background in Hip-Hop, Jazz, and synchronized swimming lend to her artistic nature in this field.   With her being certified and credited under CanFitPro - the classes are guaranteed to be a great workout while expressing yourself.  Lauren is excited to bring her new hobby mid-April to the Jannahdancer dance centre and hopes to see you there!

If you have any questions regarding pole work, safety concerns, registration or even just to say hi, please send an email to her at: lauren.smith@rogers.com.

Rhaehana's bellydance career began after having attained a dance minor at York University in classical ballet,  jazz and contemporary dance.    Coupled with her Mediterranean background,  Rhaehana went on to enhance her dance training by learning the meticulous art moves of Middle Eastern Dance.   She began studying bellydance at Arabesque Academy in Toronto, continuing on to round out her knowledge attending classes in Cambridge, Guelph and Kitchener, along with keeping her skills upgraded from workshops of international master instructors.   Rhaehana's Egyptian style led her to create her own dance troupe, 'Bella Luna', dancing for the public since 2008.
