Having spent her youth in ballet then competitive Highland dancing, Jennifer went on to learn Middle Eastern Dance and uses the various methods of dance to create a recreational lifestyle. She has instructed her format in various community centres located in Mississauga, Milton and Kitchener, and now at Studio Oasis in Stratford. Jennifer’s love of dance is complimented by her knowledge in post-mastectomy and post-operative healing care in dance, honing in on stimulating circulation after surgery. A certified fitter for prosthesis, Jennifer also has devised pockets and designed foundations to sew into garments for breast cancer survivors. Along with her interest in safe movement practices in dance, whether healing during post-op care or recreational or as strenuous as bellyPole dancing, she is an avid believer in keeping limber to maintain everyday range of motion come the onset of age. Dance and sewing have been the instruments Jennifer has used to pamper the emotional side of healing in lifetime changes... ...and she's known as the 7th Inning Stretch in dance on stage...something always different! |
